Terwijl de meeste van ons de afgelopen weken hebben gebruikt om de Kerst te vieren en het nieuwe jaar in te luiden, is er bij de Baarsjesweg 265h flink doorgewerkt. Zo ligt de sportvloer er inmiddels helemaal in,
zitten alle plafonds dicht en is ons nieuwe barmeubel bezorgd.
Ook diverse andere nieuw aangekochte meubels zijn binnen en krijgen langszaam aan ieder hun plekje. Zo vlak voor de Kerst
hebben diverse leden (dank iedereen die daarbij geholpen heeft) alle bruikbare spullen uit de Schoolstraat
gehaald en deze verhuisd naar onze nieuwe zaal. Het tijdperk Schoolstraat is daarmee
definitief voorbij en wij hebben
het pand dan ook officieel
overgedragen aan de nieuwe eigenaar.
Helaas zijn er in de nieuwe accomodatie
wat vertragingen opgelopen bij het plaatsen
van ons ons luchtcirculatiesystem en de verwarmingselementen.
Dit had tot gevolg dat we onze
geplande klusdagen moesten annuleren of uitstellen. De geluidsisolatiewerkzaamheden (spuitwerk op de plafonds in de ontvangstruimte) konden hierdoor pas voor volgende week worden ingepland.
Dit heeft als direct gevolg dat we ook iets langer moeten wachten tot we onze eerste ballen in de nieuwe zaal kunnen slaan. Zie hiervoor het stukje “speelmomenten”.
Zodra de aannemer klaar is met de grote klussen, zal een selecte groep leden alsnog de taken uitvoeren die stonden gepland voor de klusdagen. Mocht je willen meehelpen, mail dan even naar voorzitter@amsterdam78.nl.
Whilst most of us where enjoying a Christmas break and celebrating the arrival of the New Year, did the builders continue their works at Baarsjesweg 265h.
The table tennis floor is placed, all ceilings are prepared and also our bar unit has been delivered. Also many other furniture have been delivered and will be placed in their spot soon.
Just before Christmas, a few members (thank you for those who helped, really appreciated) took all useful items from the Schoolstraat and moved these over to our new home. Closing the door of the Schoolstraat is an end of an era and officially it does not belong to us anymore.
Unfortunately did we experience some delays in the works at Baarsjesweg during the installation of our air-supply-system and the heating units. Due to this, we had to cancel and postpone our “Do It Yourself” days. The special isolation works, where we spray isolation material on our ceiling in the entrance hall area, got therefore also delayed and will only happen next week.
As an immediate effect, we have to wait slightly longer to be able to play our first practice balls in our new hall. Please check therefore the item “First Time Play”.
As soon as our contractor is finished with the major works, a small group of members is asked to perform the tasks that were outlined in an early Newsletter (i.e. cleaning, small installation works, etc.). Should you wish to assist with this, please e-mail voorzitter@amsterdam78.nl
